When you purchased your home, you agreed to part of the homeowner's association. In doing so, you are required to get approval for any changes made to your home or property as listed in the governing documents.
Before completing repairs, you must submit an ARC Review Application to your HOA's Architectural Review Committee. You must follow the proper protocol to avoid serious issues with your homeowner association. Please review the following information and let us know if you have any questions.
Common Items that Need ARC Approval
Below is a list of common items that require ARC approval. Please note, this is not a comprehensive list. If you have any questions about whether ARC approval is needed, you should review your association's governing documents or reach out to your association manager.
- New construction
- Installing a shed on your property
- Removing or installing a new fence
- Installing an inground pool
- Installing a new roof
- Changing out landscaping
- Addition to your property including a covered patio or sunroom
- Exterior painting
What is the timeline for ARC approval?
Please submit your requests at least 30 days in advance.
What information am I required to submit?
You will need to include several items with your ARC request including plans, photos or sketches, colors, dimensions, building materials, etc. Please be as detailed as possible with your requests so the committee can vote appropriately to avoid any delays.
